On this site, Agent Oria collects what you write in a form. We also count visits without setting a cookie. We measure page speed. We keep an access log that records your IP address and your browser. If you choose your language, a cookie remembers that choice.

Who to write to

Pierre Lacombe, founder of Agent Oria, is the person in charge of the protection of personal information. For any question or request, write to them at info@agent-oria.com.

What the site collects and why

  • Your requests. When you write to us using a form, the site keeps your name and email address. It also keeps your phone number and the name of your office or business, along with your message. We use this information to reply to you or offer you a demonstration. A copy goes to Agent Oria’s mailbox.
  • Visits, without cookies. The site counts page views. It records the page you came from and the language. If the link you followed carries a utm campaign tag in its address, the site records that tag. It also records clicks on the phone number. It counts each time you start writing in a form. This count does not include the text you enter. All these numbers show us which pages are useful.
  • The daily code. Using your IP address, your browser and a value that changes each day, the site creates a code that is valid for one day. This code links your page views, your speed measurements and your requests from that day. The site erases that value from its database the next day. The database backups keep it for up to 30 days.
  • Robots counted separately. We add a label to each counted visit and each speed measurement. The label says whether the browser calls itself a robot or an automated tool, or does not say what it is. We count visits labelled as robots or automated tools separately. We do not keep the browser’s name with this label.
  • Page speed. We measure how long the pages take to load, to keep the site fast.
  • The access log. Each time a browser or a robot requests a page, the site records the time and the page requested. It also notes the page you came from, the IP address and the browser. This log shows us which robots and AIs read the site. It also helps protect the site from abuse.
  • Language. If you choose a language, a cookie named “langue” remembers that choice.

Your calls and voice messages

When you call our numbers, our phone provider routes the call to our cell phone. It records your number, the time and the length of the call. If you leave a message, it records it in our voicemail and sends us a copy by email. We use this information to call you back and answer you.

How long we keep your information

Information Period
Your requests, in the site’s database 2 years after the request
Copies of your requests, in our mailbox At most 2 years after the last exchange
Your voice messages, in our voicemail and our mailbox At most 2 years after the last exchange
The record of your calls (number, time, length), at our phone provider As set by that provider and by telecommunications laws
Counted visits and speed measurements 25 months
The value used to create the daily code Until the next day
The “langue” cookie, in your browser 1 year
The access log 12 months
The host’s technical logs 7 days
The database backups, at our host 30 days

Every year, we delete copies of requests from our mailbox, and messages from our voicemail, if the last exchange was more than a year ago. If the last exchange was a little less than a year before the cleanup, the copy stays until the next yearly cleanup. So we keep each copy at most 2 years after the last exchange. After these periods, we destroy the information.

Who sees your information and where it is kept

Pierre Lacombe sees your requests, listens to your messages and answers them. The people who run the site look at the visit statistics and the access log. Our providers keep this information for us.

  • Our host runs the site on its network. It also sends a copy of each request to our mailbox. The site’s database is in eastern North America. We also ask the host to keep the access log in the same place. It does so as far as it can.
  • Our email service runs the mailbox that receives the requests. Under its contract, the service or its subcontractors can process this information in any country where one of them has facilities.
  • Our phone provider, a Quebec company, routes your calls and keeps your voice messages. Under its privacy policy, it may host this information or route your calls outside Quebec. A deleted message can still be recovered at the provider for up to 7 days.

So what the site collects stays outside Quebec, with our host and our email service. Each of their contracts includes a data processing agreement. Our phone provider may do the same with your calls and voice messages.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you your information or to correct it. You can also withdraw your consent. Write to info@agent-oria.com. The person in charge replies to you in writing within 30 days.

To make a complaint, write to the person in charge at the same address. They confirm that they have received it and reply to you in writing within 30 days. You can also contact Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.

If an incident happens

We keep a register of confidentiality incidents. If an incident could cause serious harm, we notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the people affected, as the law requires.
