Oria, by Agent Oria, is Quebec’s private AI, locked in your office.
Your files stay with you.
Oria is an on-premise AI appliance, a computer installed in your office, with its screen, keyboard and mouse.
Its AI runs on the machine, without using the internet.

Oria has more than 40 features.

An offline vault

Oria works in your office. Your documents, your conversations and its AI stay inside the machine. To answer you, it never needs the internet. Nothing changes there without you.

You start Oria at your office and connect it to your computers. Then you lock its master switch with your password. From then on, your machine is a vault, cut off from the internet. The connection stays in the office, between Oria and your computers.

The master switch, in Oria’s panel, is the vault door. It controls “Internet” and “Pont agenda” (calendar bridge). Turn both to OFF, and Oria is 100% offline. To open the door again, you need to enter your password. Oria itself cannot use the master switch or the big button.

The big button at the top of the screen shows “HORS LIGNE” (offline) in red or “EN LIGNE” (online) in green. One click on it takes Oria offline. It can put Oria back online only if you have first opened the vault door with your password. If you restart Oria while it is offline, it stays offline.

When Oria is offline, it keeps all its working features. The office computers use it over your internal network, which does not go through the internet. Your calls and texts go over the cellular network.

Even remote maintenance leaves Oria offline. It goes through an office computer that serves as a bridge, and only while the person at that computer keeps the bridge open. That person sees everything in a mirror view and can close the connection at any time.

What needs the internet temporarily

Here is what each online option brings you. Each one turns on and off with one click. It only works if you have opened the vault door to take the machine online.

  • “Internet de l’IA” (the AI’s internet access) lets Oria use public search engines for you. It cites its sources. Another option stops this search as soon as a conversation contains your files.
  • Oria from anywhere (“Oria de partout”) lets you open Oria from home, not just at the office, with your account’s password. This option goes through the private network that links your devices.

While the machine is online, a few tools also use the internet.

  • The machine’s browser goes on the internet when you browse.
  • A web page you attach to a conversation comes from the internet. Type # followed by its address, and Oria fetches it.
  • The machine’s clock sets its time.

When you open the vault door to take Oria online, you can hide the drives you choose. A panel option also hides the office computers. While Oria is online, it no longer searches those drives and computers or writes to them. They also stay hidden from the internet. Oria automatically regains access to them when it goes offline again. You can also unplug your most sensitive drives.

The narrow door is for your calendar’s emails, such as reminders. It also lets the calendar send texts through a cellphone you keep outside the office.

Only the “Pont agenda” setting of the master switch opens it, with your password. The narrow door works even when Oria is offline.

With the cellular adapter, you don’t need the narrow door. Your reminders then go out by text, over the cellular network. The narrow door is only for those who don’t need Oria to be completely offline and don’t want a cellular line.

Call and talk to your AI, or text it, over the cellular network

Oria, by Agent Oria, is the only commercial AI in the world installed in your office that you call and text at its own number, for your files and calendar. Its cellular adapter never connects Oria to the internet. Calls and texts travel over the cellular network, and Oria texts you the pages of a document. As of October 31, 2026, four different AIs searched in five languages and found no other product of this kind. The closest are voice assistants installed for a reception desk or a help line, and cloud assistants you can call and text.

See our method

Agent Oria invented this phone conversation system and built it from scratch, after a long development. It keeps the machine offline, and it makes everything very simple. You call Oria at its number and talk to it as you would to a colleague. Even people who aren’t comfortable with computers use it from the very first call. Don’t feel like talking? Send it a text.

Plug the cellular adapter into Oria, and the machine has its own phone number. Call or text Oria from the road, from a client’s place or from the courthouse. It answers you.

On the phone, Oria picks up and listens to your question. It answers you out loud. Ask it, for example, about tomorrow’s appointments or what a document in a file says. By text, you write to it in your own words, and it answers by text. The calls and texts of the same day form a single conversation.

Ask for a document by phone or by text. Oria texts you its pages as images. It can also send you a clip from a recording. Describe the moment, and it sends the five minutes of audio that follow.

Only the numbers you allow can ask Oria questions. Each allowed number has access only to certain drives, and only at certain hours. A client whose number is on the appointment can reply to the confirmation request by text. Oria answers no questions from other numbers. With one click, you turn on the options “Oria répond aux appels” (Oria answers calls) and “Oria répond aux textos” (Oria answers texts), as well as sending documents by text.

Each allowed number gets one welcome text, sent from Oria’s number, so nobody has to memorize that number.

Your calendar’s reminders also go out by text, through the adapter or a cellphone left at the office, without the internet. If you reply to a reminder, for example “20 minutes late”, Oria notes it on the appointment. It suggests moving the appointments that follow, and waits for your approval before moving any of them.

What Oria does for you

Today, technology often requires training and a lot of know-how. We spent several months programming Oria to make every feature easy for everyone to use. Each one is explained in everyday words. On their first day at the office, a new employee can use it right away.

See the AI you can call

Talk with Oria

Oria answers your questions in two ways, and you choose. Oria Profond (deep) thinks longer, for difficult questions and your files. It is the default choice. The other option, Oria, answers faster.

Oria’s panel is its settings page. There you choose which one opens first, Oria Profond or Oria. You also choose how long it thinks. The three levels are Maximum, Moyen and Léger (maximum, medium, light).

You can dictate to Oria. It reads its answers to you out loud, one sentence at a time. Ask it for a letter or a report, and it writes a draft for you to correct.

Each new conversation offers you twelve ready-made phrases for the firm, to send to Oria. Type / in the message box to see the whole list. It includes, for example, /lettre, /conflits and /chronologie. The “Fonctions” (functions) button, at the top of the conversation, explains each phrase in plain words.

A sample client file, a complete fictional case, lets you try Oria without touching a real client file. You choose each account’s interface language, French or English.

Your meetings transcribed, speaker by speaker

Give Oria a recording, in French or English, and it transcribes it, showing who is speaking. Teach it to recognize your firm’s voices. When it recognizes a voice, it writes that person’s name before their words. Other voices become “Locuteur 1” and “Locuteur 2” (speaker 1, speaker 2). Turn the “Afficher les noms” switch (show the names) to OFF, and each person becomes “Individu 1” and “Individu 2” (person 1, person 2).

We measured Oria’s transcription speed on the machine. For every minute it works, it transcribes 24 minutes of a meeting with several speakers.

Need a verified transcript? Oria sends each passage to a second transcription tool, which listens to it again. Oria then shows you which passages to check. During this check, the text does not change. The document is marked BROUILLON (draft). Read it through twice, then choose “Vérifiée” (verified) to confirm your two read-throughs. Oria then files the final version. It can also make a subtitle file from the recording.

A document read from start to finish

Attach a document, even a scanned one, and Oria reads it in full. When it is set up for one person, it reads up to 500 pages. It reads a whole book in about 4 minutes. It reads scanned pages in French and in English. Then ask your question, or ask for a summary or a timeline.

For a longer book, Oria automatically finds the passages that answer your question. A line on the screen tells you when it does this. You can group documents into a knowledge collection. Then type # in a conversation to pick it. You can share it with your colleagues.

Attach a recording the same way, and Oria transcribes it before answering you. It transcribes 3 minutes of audio in 11 seconds. Give it a photo, and it describes what it sees. On the image of a page, it also describes the seal or the signature.

Find a document without knowing its name

Can’t remember the file’s name? Describe it the way you remember it, for example “find the Dupont lease” or “what is the amount of the March invoice”. Oria finds it. You don’t need to know where it is filed. It searches the whole machine and the drives plugged into it. You have nothing to set up. It finds your documents and photos, your audio recordings and videos, and even your emails.

It shows you a short list. Each file has two links. One opens the file. The other opens the folder it’s in. It can read the file it found and answer your questions about its content. It reads scanned PDFs, and finds them by what they say.

Say “also search the office computers”, and it searches the ones you have added. You can add an office file server, or a computer that shares its folders on the network. When a new file arrives on the machine, Oria finds it within 5 minutes. On the office computers, it finds it within the hour. In Oria’s panel, you can exclude the drives you choose from its search.

When Oria finds a photo, it tells you when it was taken and which device took it. For an audio recording or a video, it tells you how long it lasts, what is said in it and when. For a PDF in your files, type /authenticite (authenticity), then its name. Oria tells you which software produced the PDF, along with the dates and changes recorded in it.

A knowledge base for each professional field

Oria, by Agent Oria, has a knowledge base for each professional field. It searches there before it answers you, and tells you where each passage comes from.

For law, it is Nestor, which holds all the law of Quebec, in French and in English, the federal statutes, the Constitution of Canada and all the case law. Ask Oria what a section of an Act or a regulation says, and it quotes it with its source.

Your ideas, written into your documents

Say or type your idea, for example “add this to the Dupont contract on Julie’s PC”. Oria finds the document and picks the place where your idea belongs. It puts your text there without changing a word, then tells you where it put it. Before it writes, the machine always saves a copy of the file. If track changes is turned on in that document, your addition shows up as a tracked change, under Oria’s name.

If the document is open, or if Oria cannot write in it, your idea goes into your notebook, with the date. Say “note this”, and your idea goes there right away.

Turn on “Copie de mes ajouts” (copy of my additions) and choose a cellphone number or an email address from your calendar. Oria sends a copy of each addition to that number or address. The copy names the document and the section. It shows the end of the paragraph before, your text, then the start of the paragraph after.

If your text landed in the wrong place, you see it right away. The copy tells you how to remove the addition.

With the “Oria répond aux textos” option (Oria answers texts), reply to Oria in your own words, such as “put it in chapter 3 instead”, and Oria moves the addition.

Dictate a table, such as “make a table of exhibits: P‑1 the contract, P‑2 the invoice”. Oria inserts it as a real table in your .docx document, or in your notebook.

Oria keeps a record for each client file. Ask it in your own words to add or change a detail, for example “note the new address in the Dupont record”. You can also ask it to remove one, such as “remove the second phone number from the Tremblay record”. These are only examples. Oria makes any change you ask for, and the rest of the record stays as it is.

Fill in the “Votre cabinet” page (your firm) once. Enter the firm’s name, address, phone numbers and email address. Add your lawyers, their Bar numbers and your letterhead.

Then ask in your own words for a letter, a formal notice or an originating application. You can also click one of the cards shown under the “Fonctions” (functions) and “Délais” (deadlines) buttons. Oria writes a first draft as a .docx document, on your letterhead. It takes the details from the case record. It writes in French or English, according to the client’s record. Oria highlights what it proposes. It never signs for you.

Oria has a ready-made template for every procedural document and each of the firm’s everyday letters, in French and in English. Each one follows the law and the practice of Quebec lawyers. The letters include, for example, a client follow-up, a retainer reminder and a notice to the insurer. Prefer your own? Attach your .docx template once, with blank lines ______ where the information goes. Oria then uses it instead of its own.

When the court has an official form for your document, Oria prepares its own version, without the internet. It uses the same information in the same order, with your firm’s layout. Turn on the “Formulaires officiels intégrés” option (built-in official forms), and Oria fills in the official form itself.

A clean copy before you send

Say “make a clean copy of the Dupont contract”, and Oria makes it next to the original. The original does not change.

In a word-processing document, it accepts the tracked changes. It keeps the additions and applies the deletions. It also removes the comments and the hidden text. It removes the author details, the document properties and the hidden data in the photos.

In a PDF, it removes the comments and the annotations. It also removes the author details, the document properties and the earlier versions.

Your calendar, the way a secretary keeps it

Each account has up to five calendars, for example a shared one and one for each person. With one simple request, Oria adds an appointment, such as “add an appointment Thursday 9 am in Julie’s calendar, with an alert”. Oria moves or cancels it the same way, and you can tell it to undo that. One request is also enough for a recurring appointment. Oria points out any other appointment that makes this one difficult or impossible. It manages your reminders and follow-ups.

Give it a document, a photo or a report, and it suggests the appointments it finds there. It adds only the ones you accept. You can import a calendar from another program, as an .ics file.

For each calendar, you choose when reminders arrive, such as 1 hour or 1 day before. You also choose how they reach you, by text, by email or on the machine’s screen. Oria can send you the day’s summary at the time you choose. If Oria is open on the screen, it rings 10 minutes before an appointment with an alert. You print the week’s calendar with one click.

Your deadlines, calculated and put in your calendar

For a deadline set by law, say, for example, “the Dupont judgment was rendered at the hearing on November 3: calculate the appeal deadline and put it in the calendar”. Oria shows you the section of the law and its calculation. The starting day does not count. A deadline that falls on a weekend or a holiday moves to the next working day. Oria puts the deadline in the calendar and reminds you 7 days and 2 days before. The “Délais” (deadlines) button, next to “Fonctions” (functions), explains each deadline it can calculate.

Plead against an opposing AI

Among AIs installed in offices in Quebec, Oria, by Agent Oria, is the only one with which you prepare your oral argument against an opposing AI. As of October 31, 2026, no other office-installed AI among the eleven Quebec offers whose pages we read said so. That opposing AI knows all the law and all the case law. Choose whether it attacks your case or defends it. It puts to you the sections and the decisions that help the other side, and you answer it as you would at the hearing.

Nothing leaves over the internet. The argument you draw from it stays yours, and you are the one who takes it to court.

See our method

Create your images and videos

Describe an image, and Oria creates it on site, at 1,024 × 1,024 pixels. Attach a photo and say, for example, “make the sky orange”. Oria edits it and keeps its format. The images it creates stay on the machine, filed under “Images créées” (created images). You can find them again with a search. Oria also makes videos. If your firm does not use the image tools, a switch hides them.

Work as you would on any computer

Open the desktop workstation on Oria, full screen or in a window.

Keep your backup on another computer

Oria’s backup holds your user accounts, your conversations and your documents. Go to another computer in the office and open Oria’s panel. Click the backup’s name to download it. Your copy stays on that computer, even if the machine fails.

Are you selling the machine or starting over? The reset erases the accounts, the conversations and the attached documents. It keeps the backups.

Pick a mode by how many people work at once

When several people talk to Oria at the same time, it shares its working capacity among them. The more people at once, the fewer pages of a single document it reads.

One click in the panel changes the mode. The AI then takes one to two minutes to restart.

If Oria is writing answers at that moment, the change stops them. That is why the panel page first asks you to check a box.

Setting Pages read in full
Mode 1, one person 500
Mode 2, two people 230
Mode 4, four people 80
Mode 6, six people 50

In mode 1, it writes faster and reads more slowly. In mode 6, it answers more slowly when more than 4 people use it at the same time.

In this table, a page holds about 1,800 characters.

Your clients confirm their appointments

In Quebec, Oria, by Agent Oria, is the only office-installed AI that runs your calendar on a simple request and has your clients confirm appointments by text. As of October 31, 2026, no other office-installed AI among the eleven Quebec offers whose pages we read said so. You turn on the “Demander la confirmation aux clients” option (ask the clients to confirm) from the Confirmations page. You then choose, client by client, whether Oria asks for a confirmation. This setting applies to all of that client’s appointments.

See our method

Beside each appointment, a switch lets you decide whether Oria asks for a confirmation for that appointment alone. That choice stays even when the client’s setting changes. You can also tell Oria “ask them to confirm” or “don’t ask them”.

The request goes out the day before at 10 a.m. by default, if the appointment lists the client’s cellphone number or email address. It goes by text through the adapter, or by email with two buttons, OUI and NON (yes and no). The client sees only the date, the time, the place and the firm’s name. By email, the client answers with one click on OUI or NON, without writing a message. By text, they reply OUI or NON.

Oria records the client’s answer on the appointment. In the calendar, OUI becomes a green check, and NON becomes a red triangle and an alert. It alerts the people in the office on their cellphones, during the hours set for each person. It tells the client it has received their answer. If the client answers by phone, the office records it. The answer never cancels the appointment. You decide.

Open Oria on each of your devices

Install Oria on each computer, tablet or phone on the office network, and you can open it from there. Go to the “Installer Oria sur un appareil” page (install Oria on a device) and follow the few steps there.

With Oria from anywhere (“Oria de partout”), you can open Oria from home, not just at the office. This option gives you a second address, where you sign in with your account’s password. It is an online feature. To use it, first open the vault door with your password. Before you take Oria online, choose carefully which drives stay offline. Then take the machine online and connect it to your devices’ private network.

Get help remotely

The panel’s “Entretien à distance” tab (remote maintenance) holds two tools. Both leave Oria offline. They go through an office computer that serves as a bridge. Oria is connected to that computer, not to the internet. Maintenance works only while the person at that computer keeps the bridge open. That computer shows a mirrored copy of Oria’s screen. That person sees everything being done and can close the connection at any time.

Screen sharing (“Partager l’écran”) lets someone you trust display a mirrored copy of Oria’s screen on their own computer. For example, the secretary displays it on the reception computer. That person adjusts the machine from there. You stay in front of Oria’s screen and keep control.

For guided repair, you open an online AI on the computer that serves as the bridge. The online AI looks at how the machine is running and explains what it sees. It proposes the repair commands and asks for your approval before each one. Oria contains a repair guide written for that AI, with the limits of what it may touch and check. You use your own subscription to that online AI for this repair.

For the technically minded

Your own programs can also work with Oria. A programmer connects them to its conversation API, a connection reserved for programs, on the office network. Its address is http://oria.local:8080/v1. The program sends a question, and Oria answers it as it would answer you, without the internet. This API follows the most common format for conversational AI, which many programs already know how to use.

For Oria, each request from a program counts as one more person talking to it. So choose the mode by the number of people and program requests it handles at the same time.

An AI doesn’t read pages. It reads tokens, which are pieces of words. A page of 1,800 characters holds about 490 of them. We measured this on a book in French.
